New to UBC Survey

New to UBC Survey

Each year, new and incoming UBC students are surveyed about the reasons why they chose UBC for their post-secondary education, what they hope to gain from their undergraduate or graduate education, their experiences prior to their arrival to UBC, their expectations about their first year, and their satisfaction about UBC communications and services.

The New to UBC (NUBC) Survey is an annual survey of new incoming undergraduate UBC students conducted in August. A survey of incoming graduate students is conducted at UBC Okanagan. For additional Graduate student information, please visit Graduate Education Analysis and Research (GEAR).

A parallel survey is administered to students who were admitted to a UBC undergraduate program but who did not come and attend UBC (called “Non-Attenders Survey”).
